4. James Leonard Slip was born on 3 Apr 1829. He died on 23 Oct 1858. James married (1) Caroline J Hartt. James married (2) Jane Matilda Hartt. James married (3) Isabella Gerow daughter of George Gerow and Amy Carpenter on 24 Mar 1852. Isabella was born on 25 Apr 1833. She died on 7 Jul 1855.
5. Samuel R Slip was born on 3 Jun 1831. He died on 29 Sep 1858.
6. Thomas W Slip was born on 6 May 1832. He died on 21 May 1861. Thomas married Charlotte Durigin on 10 Nov 1853.

James Slip’s second second wife was Phoebe Merritt daughter of Gilbert Merritt and Phebe Birdsell. James and Phoebe were married on July 6, 1833. Phoebe was born on January 12, 1811. She died on 16 Apr 1883. She was buried in Queens County, New Brunswick. James and Phoebe had the following children:

2. Charlotte Merritt Slip was born on 4 Dec 1836. She died on 9 Sep 1885. She was buried in , Kings, New Brunswick. Charlotte married George Leonard Good son of John Good and Hannah McLeod on 21 Jan 1857. George was born on 14 Sep 1831. He died on 29 Dec 1890. He was buried in Kings, New Brunswick.
3. Caleb Merritt Slip was born on 9 Jan 1839. He died on 22 Aug 1863. He was buried in Queens County, New Brunswick.
4. Phoebe Augusta Slip was born on 20 Oct 1840. She died on 25 Mar 1915. Phoebe married William Dell Perley Senator son of Hon William E Perley and Sarah Hartt on 20 Sep 1860. William was born in 1838.
5. Edward Weyman Slipp was born on 30 Oct 1842. He died on 8 Jan 1923. Edward married Hannah Slipp daughter of Squire James E Slip and Hannah Thomson on 18 Sep 1867. Hannah was born on 12 Sep 1850. She died on 11 Nov 1930.
6. Alice Sarah Slip was born on 25 Nov 1844. She died on 15 Apr 1892. Alice married George Leonard (c?) Slip son of Deacon William Slipp and Hannah Anna Gaunce on 7 Jun 1864. George was born on 9 Jan 1848. He died on 12 Jul 1904. He was buried in Saint John, Saint John, New Brunswick.
7. Alfred E Slip was born on 5 Sep 1848. He died on 27 Dec 1930. He was buried in Fredericton, York, New Brunswick. Alfred married Alice M Palmer daughter of Stephen Palmer and Phoebe Coy on 21 Mar 1874. Alice was born in 1854. She died on 2 Nov 1917. She was buried in Fredericton, York, New Brunswick.
8. Isabella Louise Slip was born on 19 Apr 1856. She died on 6 Nov 1864. She was buried in Queens County, New Brunswick.

Anna Catharina (Hausauer) Reisner was admitted to the German Reformed Church of New York City in about 1759.

George Slipp of Hampstead, N.B., told Rick Crume in 1993 that Elizabeth (Ryson) Slipp’s mother, Catherine was buried in the Slipp/Merritt Cemetery at Queenstown, Queens County, N.B., along with Leonard and Elizabeth. Rick thinks he said Catherine’s grave marker says she died in July 1812 at age 94. That would mean she was born in about 1718.

Elizabeth (Reisner) Slip was born 18 Dec. 1756 (according to the Family bible record of George Leonard Slipp, born 1819) or in 1757, according to other sources. Maybe there’s a record of her baptism in Philadelphia church records. She joined the German Reformed Church of New York City in 1774.

Johann Friederich Reisner, son of Johanna Caspar Reisner and wife Anna Catharina, was baptized 12 Aug. 1760, sponsors Friedrich Schafer and wife, Mathaus Heylman, Michael Keyser (New York City Lutheran Churchbook).
